The earth has music for those who listen.
Famed recorder player Genevieve Lacey joins actor Katherine Tonkin for a performance that weaves poetic texts and tunes into a quiet incantation. Bach and Telemann are framed by Persian lyric poet Hafiz, while the music of Ros Bandt, Brett Dean, and Lachlan Skipworth converses with the words of American and Australian poets Mary Oliver and Judith Wright.
Nature inspires in a myriad of ways. Some offerings trace a dreamy, romantic love for our environment. Others are more charged, reminding us that our role as caretakers for this miraculous planet has never been more urgent.
Please note this event is general admission. We recommend arriving early to find a seat. The concert will go for approximately one hour with no interval.
