We premiered our ground-breaking performance of Vivaldi’s masterpiece almost 10 years ago across two sell-out national tours.

Alongside Australian-Egyptian composer and Oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros and riq master James Tawadros, we have performed it on stages across the world, from Tokyo to New York, and in another sold out Australian national tour in 2023.

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to share this iconic ACO program with audiences across Australia, in collaboration with film director Matisse Ruby who brings this cinematic and vivid performance to life on the big screen.

The Four Seasons is arguably the most popular and recognisable piece of classical music ever written. This performance, directed by Richard Tognetti, highlights the profound symbiosis between Vivaldi’s Venice and the Middle East, interspersing Vivaldi’s masterpiece with music by Joseph Tawardros. This coming together of Eastern and Western musical traditions honours Vivaldi’s classic while giving it new life.

Screening 1-5 March at Palace Cinemas and selected independent cinemas in Adelaide, Ballarat, Bowral, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Perth, and Wollongong. A must-see film for music lovers and cinephiles alike.

Screening 1 May at the Sydney Opera House.
