International Tour: Europe
In March 2025, the Australian Chamber Orchestra returns to Europe, performing concerts at Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, the Liederhalle Stuttgart, and the Barbican Centre in London.
The Orchestra will pair the music of Shostakovich and Bach in one of its programs, and that of European modernists Lutosławski and Haas with Bryce Dessner and JS Bach in another, as well as presenting its acclaimed documentary, Mountain, live in concert.
The ACO will be joined on tour by guest musicians, including renowned pianist Alexander Melnikov, who will perform Shostkovich's Piano Concerto in C minor, and musicians from the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and NFM Leopoldinum orchestras.
A commitment to regular international touring is unique to the Australian Chamber Orchestra among its fellow Australian ensembles, and the Orchestra is thrilled to return to Europe with these celebratory performances to mark its 50th Anniversary.
