BNP Paribas has been a Major Partner of the ACO since 2006, and a Presenting Partner of ACO Academy since 2017.
Their generous support of ACO Academy helps the ACO present our flagship talent development program each year; and demonstrates their ongoing commitment to youth and nurturing the next generation of Australian talent.
ACO Academy is an immersive learning experience, essential for any talented young string player who wants to be challenged and inspired. Led by ACO violinist Aiko Goto, this annual program brings high school string players from across Australia together for an intensive week of orchestral rehearsals, sectionals and chamber music sessions. The program typically culminates in a public performance on the main stage as part of the ACO Academy Orchestra—a dream for these aspiring young musicians.
BNP Paribas has been supporting the Australian economy for nearly 140 years. As the first major foreign bank in Australia, it was established in 1881 to finance the wool trade with Europe.
Today, BNP Paribas employs over 600 people across Australia and New Zealand, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and Wellington.
