Wesfarmers becomes ACO Principal Partner

The Principal Partnership commences with the announcement of the ACO 2025 Season, our 50th anniversary season.

Today we're thrilled to announce that Wesfarmers Arts has become our Principal Partner.

The Principal Partnership will commence from the announcement of the ACO 2025 Season, during which we will celebrate our 50th anniversary year.

This announcement marks the continuation of a rich history of collaboration between the two companies that began nearly three decades ago. Wesfarmers first joined the ACO as a supporting partner in 1998 as ‘Perth Series Sponsor’, successfully assisting the Orchestra in presenting its annual concert series in Perth. The partnership then expanded in 2014 to include support of ACO Collective, the ACO’s education and regional touring ensemble.

“We are absolutely delighted that Wesfarmers Arts has become Principal Partner of the ACO,” said ACO Chair Martyn Myer AO. “Wesfarmers Arts has played a critical and valued role in establishing the ACO as a truly national touring ensemble, through supporting the Orchestra’s concert series in Perth as well as the regional touring and performance activities of ACO Collective. In elevating its partnership to become Principal Partner of the ACO, Wesfarmers Arts will provide essential support to the Orchestra in enhancing and expanding its national, regional and international touring schedule, allowing more audiences across Australia and around the globe to experience the world-class performances of this extraordinary ensemble.”

“After almost three decades in partnership to bring the superb musicians of the ACO to Western Australia and to regional communities throughout
the country, we are delighted now to become Principal Partner of this truly world-class orchestra. The contribution the ACO makes to the cultural life of our national community at home, and on the world stage, is immense,” said Wesfarmers Chairman, Michael Chaney AO. Wesfarmers supports a diverse array of Australian arts companies through its Wesfarmers Arts program.

In addition to being Principal Partner of the ACO, Wesfarmers Arts supports a number of premier arts organisations across music, visual art, theatre and dance. It is also home to The Wesfarmers Collection of Australian Art, which embraces the wide diversity of art produced in Australia from the 1800s to today, across painting, photography, sculpture and digital media.
