The ACO Collective tour of A String Celebration began at our Pier 2/3 home, with inspiring rehearsals and a public concert in our stunning custom-built concert hall, The Neilson. After that, we tour to Karratha, Margaret River and Albany in Western Australia.
After our Sydney performance, it was to off to the airport, and when we touched down in Karratha, we were surrounded by bright blue skies and deep red earth.
It was a great time in Karratha. The concert went very well and the audience seemed to enjoy our performance. After the concert, we had chat with members of the audience and they were excited and enthusiastic about the program, and high level of playing from these wonderful young musicians.
During the day, some players went for an excursion beyond Karratha, and Helena and I even found a moment for a quick paddle in Dampier!
We spotted an ACO Collective poster in Karratha. And took the opportunity for a "Kodak Moment" with Madelene in front of a stunning sunset.
Soon we were leaving again, and went on to perform at Margaret River HEART, before heading to Albany on Saturday for our final performance - at Albany Entertainment Centre.
