This year, despite everything nature and economics have thrown at us, we celebrate the start of a new chapter in the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s story.
From our humble beginnings in Sydney’s King’s Cross to our exciting new home at Pier 2/3 in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, you have been at the heart of this story. You have been there to sustain, revitalise and inspire us, every step of the way. From all of us, thank you.
The past two years have been challenging for everyone, and we have survived thanks largely to our generous supporters. I can’t tell you how much this has meant to us, allowing us to be back on the road once again sharing music with you. There really is nothing quite like the experience of a live performance, and it is invigorating to reconnect with you in the concert hall.
This year, as we begin another exciting chapter in the ACO’s story, your support will help us to blaze new trails. Fuelled by the loyalty of our audiences and supporters, we are opening our doors to a suite of new artistic initiatives for people near and far. Through new theatrical music productions for children, relaxed performances, thought-provoking talk series, world premieres from local and international composers, bold artistic collaborations and innovative digital experiences, with your support we will connect more people than ever before with the power of music and the power of the ACO.
While things are slowly improving, our ticket sales are still being hit by COVID’s ongoing impacts. The support of our patrons has helped us survive the pandemic.
Now we need your help to secure our future and bring our vision to life. Your support, however large or small, makes a real difference. It enables us to present the concerts you love, deliver our important learning and engagement programs, nurture the careers of Australia’s most promising young players, and develop new programming streams to connect with new audiences.
